There’s history, there’s lore, there’s research told by someone you can listen to without wanting to put a screwdriver in your ear! Lol I bet he spells everything correctly as well! Love this. I grew up on Lake Erie and our baby was the Niagara. I’m sure he’s working on that fascinating story since I’ve been singing her praises! Thanx for making my job as a trucker a little easier! These really help pass the time and I love ships!

Many fascinating and well told historical reconstructions, worth browsing the many many episodes

Well researched! I find the stories and the background of all these vessels just incredible. Rich has such an honest, straight forward way of presenting the tales. I always learn something new. The human relationship to the sea is one fraught with passion and doom! This podcast is a delightful adventure!

Unsure of what to expect… I’ve been blown away. Research for the episodes are superb. perfect “podcaster voice” that’s smooth and easy to listen to. The story telling is vivid and detailed. I am always looking forward to a new episode.. especially the longer ones covering old historical wrecks/disasters.

I just discovered Shipwrecks and Sea Dogs. It's both entertaining and informative. Looking forward to future episodes.

Rich presents fascinating and well-researched historical maritime events. He gives in-depth background while keeping a good flow. He has brought on a diverse group of well-informed guests from all over the world. He has shown sensitivity during episodes where frightening and tragic experiences have affected some of his guests. I highly recommend this podcast to anyone who loves sea stories!

I was kind of hoping to find something like this show and when I went looking… I found exactly what I was hoping for. Rich does a great job retelling stories with intrigue, gravity, and historical accuracy. It’s lead to me doing a lot of reading on my own about events I never even knew about. Would definitely recommend!

Even if you don’t like ships the history that is on this podcast is great! If you kinda like boats or more then you will be in heaven. Every time I see it show up in my up next my heart gets happy.

Interesting nautical history, fun listen

This podcast brings to life many important events in Maritime history from a variety of perspectives and sources to paint vivid pictures while telling captivating stories.

This podcast made me realize that there’s always more to shipwrecks than meets the eye. When I first tuned in, I wasn’t sure what to expect but now I see how there are always a multitude of stories behind what seems like just one. The host has some really cool guests on too like one that runs a private diving vessel to recover artifacts!

I’m enjoying this series greatly! Something mysterious and mystical about shipwrecks and the unique characters aboard that are the sailors and perhaps common passengers. Rich does a good job of picking out well-known and unknown nautical incidents, many of which are tragic. I look forward to each new episode!

I love true crime!!! And this podcast is just perfect! I’m at the edge of my seat each week just listening!!!! It’s sooooo interesting!!!
